Terms of Use · Version 1.1
Terms of Use
Effective September 8, 2026. These terms cover the ThreatWing website and supplement the license presented with a distributed ThreatWing product.
1. Product status
The website describes available, beta, planned, and unavailable features. Check your build’s release notes and the product page before relying on a feature. What the product and its release notes show is what applies.
2. App license
ThreatWing Tools is in pre-release. A build supplied through TestFlight is subject to Apple’s TestFlight terms and any terms provided with the invitation. Other beta access requires the agreement supplied with that build.
Unless a custom license is presented at acquisition, an App Store build is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Software is licensed, not sold. Open-source components are governed by their included licenses.
3. Authorized use
You may use ThreatWing only on systems, networks, accounts, and artifacts you own or are explicitly authorized to administer, test, or analyze. You are responsible for scope, consent, timing, rate limits, data handling, and legal compliance. The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms.
4. Security decisions
Findings, pseudocode, diagnostics, command classifications, and AI-assisted suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. Verify targets, commands, credentials, host keys, scope, and output before acting. ThreatWing is not a substitute for backups, change control, professional judgment, or emergency procedures.
5. Your material and third parties
You retain responsibility for profiles, commands, binaries, reports, and other material you import, process, or share. Confirm that you have the required rights. Remote endpoints, Apple, Cloudflare, AI providers, and user-controlled backends are separate services with their own terms and practices.
6. Subscriptions
App Store subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Price, period, trial eligibility, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms shown by Apple at purchase are the ones that apply. Deleting app data or the app does not cancel a subscription. Restore and manage-subscription controls are available where supported.
7. Availability and warranties
Services may be changed, restricted, suspended, or withdrawn. To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, website information, beta software, reports, and beta services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular security decision. Statutory consumer rights are not excluded where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Suspension and changes
Access may be limited for abuse, risk to others, legal obligations, or material violation of these terms. Updated terms will carry a new version and effective date. If a material update requires consent, it will be requested through the applicable product or service.
9. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to enter a product agreement on your own behalf.
10. Liability and your rights
Use of the website does not change rights you have under applicable law. Product licenses and beta agreements specify any liability limits for the app or hosted service. Nothing on this page excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Product agreements
Any paid or hosted service requires its own agreement identifying the operator and the terms for that service, including any choice of governing law and courts. These website terms do not designate a jurisdiction or replace that agreement.
12. Operator and contact
ThreatWing is operated by an individual proprietor in the United States; the legal operating entity will be published when incorporated. Email support@threatwing.com. Do not send secrets or proprietary binaries in an initial request.
